Creative studio is “Unreal”

Wednesday 7 October 2015

A new super studio at Bedford College’s South Banks Arts Centre means students are working in a creative environment as good as any London agency.

Using Graphic Tablets to draw and dual screens for “Unreal 4” games engines, their work is light years ahead of traditional art rooms in school.

Those in their first weeks of study at the new look studio are already learning what it’s like to be a Minecraft games designer or DreamWorks animator working on motion graphics, animation and even 3-D (complete with 3-D printer in the classroom).

Course Manager Matt Umney said: “There is every creative and technical option here at our Cauldwell Street campus for young people who want to launch themselves into one of the fastest growing creative industries in the world.”
